Fig & Pistachio Balls

Sweet and nutty, these Middle Eastern-inspired balls are a delightful no-bake treat packed with natural flavours and wholesome ingredients. Perfect for a quick energy boost or a healthy snack on the go.

Ingredients

  • 12 figs (80g)

  • 80g pitted dates

  • 2 tablespoons grape molasses (dibs al-anab) OR honey

  • 15g crushed pistachio

  • 15g toasted, shredded coconut

  • Pinch of sumac

  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Stem and roughly chop figs into small pieces. Put aside. Roughly chop pitted dates.

  2. In a large bowl, add dates, figs, coconut, and syrup. Add a pinch of sumac, and a pinch of salt.

  3. From this mixture, form the balls in the palm of your hand. Roll each ball in pistachio, and place aside.

  4. Store in an airtight container. Refrigerate to retain shape.
